A Very Zombie Halloween

Halloween 2007 has come and gone. But we are here to ensure that the Zombies of the past are not forgotten, but immortalized for future generations to enjoy. (Even though they are dead and are already pretty immortalized.. and i can’t see how future generations would enjoy them if they were actually in the room)

To this end we have decided to try to document the zombies which emerged this past Halloween.

To complete this task, we have chosen flickr. (flickr is the most predominantly used photo sharing community at the moment and had the most pictures of zombies from the relevant time period)

A group has been created here called The 2007 Halloween Zombie Roundup. We are currently in the process of contacting those people with zombies within their photosets.

If you witnessed a zombie this Halloween and managed snapped a photo, upload it to flicker and join the group! or send the photo to us and we can upload it for you.

Send your photos with a date and caption to zombies@zombiesbite.com

The Horror, All-hallow-even.

Halloween is tomorrow and if you are still stuck for costume ideas, have no fear! These costume guides will ensure that you not only look dazzling, but also be cleverly disguised in case of an attack by some of the more easily tricked strains of Zombies. (The Walking Dead and Shaun of the dead Zombies, I’m looking at you)

The scary people at 365halloween have a good guide for your zombie on a budget found here.

zombiemaker.com is a site dedicated to turning its readers into one of the walking dead, with easy steps! It is maintained by Tom Walsham who also maintains a costume tutorial website here.

Finally, the last resource today for zombyifying yourself up on Halloween are the team at terror4fun.com, who have taken on the difficult goal to “Raise the quality of Zombies across the Globe.” You can find their comprehensive guides here.

There are a lot of resources on the Internet which will help you in your costume mission and we have only mentioned a few here. Look for more, next Halloween!

Remember, when you are stumbling through the streets covered in blood, clothes torn, the blood of the innocent fresh on your lips, no amount of superficial zombie accessories will complete the picture, if you forget to moan.

Have a happy Halloween!

Kill the Brain, Stop the Zombie

Here is another instructional webvideo on being prepared for the possible zombie incursion this Halloween. Although there has been a bunch of informative videos on this topic recently, you can never be too prepared.

This one is brought to you by the nice people at commoncraft. They care about you and your brain.

Shoot them in their dead brains

Halloween is upon us for another year and, it seems to me, that this would be a perfect opportunity for a zombie foothold situation. Could the little girl dressed as a fairy be a zombie? Yes. What about the teenagers in the darkness with toiletpaper? Perfect candidates. The supervisional parents dressed as zombies, playfully biting anyone who gets within reach? The zombie is a crafty creature and will often appear even in the most unlikely of places.

Take my advice and stay inside and protect yourself.

However, if you have to go outside, the conscious people at Videojug are thinking about you and are hosting an informative movie with five easy steps on “How to Survive A Zombie Apocalypse

I can find very little information about this movie. I know that Brigadier Johnny Barbra is played by Jonathan Blyth (Log) of disappointment.com and the law of the playground. The zombie footage used was of the London Zombie Walk, in leichester square, as documented by The Zombie Diaries. I have not seen The Zombie Diaries yet, but I hope find and purchase a copy soon. Expect a review when I do!
