In Perth, Western Australia (my home town) Writer/Producer David Bishop is challenging himself to make the cheapest Indie film ever… that doesn’t suck. To do this, he has turned to the Zombie genre - as many have in his position - and is intending to reimagine the good I am Legend film into one called I am Bish.
You can check out one of the teaser trailers for it above - and more on the web page.
I am Bish is going to be if I am Legend survivor Robert Neville was slightly dumber, less stressed, and living in Perth. Also, Dave is replacing the crazy hairless tribal mutants with good old fashon zombies.
Want to know the best part? He is looking for vollenters to be zombie extras in the movie this month.
That’s right - if you live in Perth you have a chance to dress up as a zombie and do the shuffle for a Indie film. All you need to do if shoot him an email with an attached photo of youself… and hope.
I know I have.
Check out this page for more information and Daves contact details.
Perth’s first Zombie March/Zombie flash mob was unleashed on the city last weekend (Saturday, April 5) to the surprise and horror of Perth’s weekend shoppers. Although initially there were concerns that the event would be rained-out the sky cleared to a brilliant blue just before the zombies emerged.
At noon the moaning Australian zombie horde emerged from the backstreet’s to drag themselves through the city center, including a jaunt through the Perth Train station and finally to the James Street mall.
The zombie walk had a great turnout, and many people demonstrated great ability with makeup, dripping blood, shambling and lurching at unsuspecting terrified onlookers.
The event was organized excellently by Perth’s flash mob group http://www.do-or-diy.com/, and here’s hoping that there will be many more of its type.
It appears that the City of Perth, in Western Australia is having its very first zombie walk.
It is currently being advertised as occurring on the Saturday, April 5th in the Perth Metro area and is being organized and promoted though the Perth Flashmob group: Do or Diy.
Do or Diy currently has a facebook event dedicated to the event available by clicking here, with a 150+ confirmed attendees.
